It is Friday morning. Thursday night brought me turbulence for reasons that a business owner might imagine. The message from world renown business coach and self-improvement leader, Brendon Burchard hit home for me. He calls his messages daily fire and they are part of his program called GrowthDay. Today it was a good reminder for me to choose to heal brokenness in important relationships, to let go of blame, anger, hurt, frustration as I build my business.

Today’s fire recalls my memory of attending GrowthDay live at the Alex theater in Glendale. My plane trip, Uber and lodging went without a hitch. Inspiration hitting me like columns of light penetrating the shadows. The anticipation of being in the room together with other Growthdayers, the energy of Ultra permeating us.

The streets of Glendale were clean. My cohort well dressed, friendly, sharing supportive and encouraging things with each other, all expectant for something special to happen. Oddly, feelings of high expectations came with a sense of casual relaxation, like southern California. We were impatient for it to begin, but OK with waiting for the doors to open. Many of us were strangers, but connected by our interest in GrowthDay, while the sun shone. Then the event happened, we ate lunch together, made new connections, and we departed.

I was struck most deeply on that plane ride home, above the clouds blanketing the world below, silver linings everywhere. Those feelings are a far cry from last night. Happy Friday.
